Our Projects

A selection of water damage restoration and waterproofing projects completed for Manhattan property owners.

Ceiling leak cleanup in a Midtown apartment
Midtown Apartment Ceiling Leak

Ceiling Leak Cleanup — Midtown Apartment

Issue: Persistent ceiling leak from the unit above, caused by a deteriorated supply line connection in the upstairs bathroom. Water had been seeping through the ceiling for several days before the tenant noticed staining and soft spots in the plaster.
Work Completed: Contained the affected area, removed damaged ceiling material, extracted trapped water, and set up targeted drying equipment. Monitored moisture levels over three days until readings returned to normal. Prepared the ceiling surface for replastering.
Outcome: The space was fully dried and stabilized. The tenant was able to have the ceiling repaired and repainted within a week of our work being completed, with no further moisture issues reported.
Moisture control and drying in a Kips Bay condo
Kips Bay Condo Moisture Control

Moisture Control & Drying — Kips Bay Condo

Issue: A supply line failure behind the kitchen wall sent water into the living area and bedroom of a two-bedroom condo. By the time the water was shut off, the hardwood floors were saturated and the baseboards were swelling.
Work Completed: Extracted standing water, removed baseboards and a section of damaged drywall to access the wall cavity. Deployed air movers and dehumidifiers across the affected rooms. Took daily moisture readings to track drying progress over a five-day period.
Outcome: The structure dried to target levels without requiring full floor replacement. The owner was able to refinish the existing hardwood and replace only the damaged drywall section, saving significant cost compared to a full renovation.
Wall and flooring cleanup after plumbing issue in Murray Hill
Murray Hill Residential Plumbing Damage

Wall & Floor Cleanup — Murray Hill

Issue: A plumbing failure in the bathroom wall caused water to run down through the wall cavity and under the adjacent hallway flooring. The tenant noticed warped floorboards and bubbling paint along the baseboard several days after the initial event.
Work Completed: Opened the wall to access the wet cavity, removed damaged flooring sections, and extracted water from the subfloor. Set up a combination of wall-cavity drying equipment and floor-level air movers. Monitored the space until all materials reached safe moisture levels.
Outcome: The wall structure and subfloor were preserved. The owner replaced the affected flooring section and had the wall patched and repainted. No recurring moisture was detected at a follow-up check.
Waterproofing support in a mixed-use property
NoMad Mixed-Use Waterproofing

Waterproofing Support — NoMad Mixed-Use Building

Issue: The lower-level storage area of a mixed-use building experienced recurring water seepage along the foundation wall after heavy rain events. The building manager had tried surface-level fixes previously, but the problem kept returning each season.
Work Completed: Assessed the water entry points along the foundation wall, cleaned and prepared the surfaces, and applied a waterproofing barrier system to the interior wall. Improved drainage in the affected area and installed moisture monitoring points for ongoing observation.
Outcome: The storage area remained dry through the following rain season. The building manager reported no further water entry at the treated wall sections, and the monitoring points showed consistently low moisture readings.
Office interior drying and restoration after water intrusion
Midtown East Office Water Intrusion

Office Drying & Restoration — Midtown East

Issue: A roof drain backup during a heavy rainstorm sent water into a third-floor office suite through the ceiling. The water affected ceiling tiles, carpet, and several workstations. The business needed the space functional again as quickly as possible.
Work Completed: Removed damaged ceiling tiles and saturated carpet sections. Extracted water from the concrete subfloor and set up commercial drying equipment across the suite. Worked during off-hours to minimize disruption to the business. Completed drying within four days.
Outcome: The office was back in operation within a week. New ceiling tiles and carpet were installed by the building's contractor, and the business reported no further issues from the event.
Lower-level moisture response in a Manhattan property
Gramercy Residential Basement Moisture

Lower-Level Moisture Response — Gramercy

Issue: The garden-level unit of a Gramercy townhouse had persistent dampness along the rear wall and floor. The owner noticed a musty smell and visible moisture on the wall surface, particularly during warmer months when humidity was higher.
Work Completed: Conducted a thorough moisture assessment of the lower level, identified the primary entry points along the rear foundation wall, and implemented a combination of interior waterproofing treatment and improved ventilation. Set up dehumidification to bring the space to target moisture levels.
Outcome: Moisture levels in the lower-level unit dropped significantly and remained stable. The owner reported improved air quality and no further visible moisture on the walls through the following summer season.
